On June 18, a delegation led by Li Xiaoming, Member of the Party Committee and Head of the Discipline Inspection Team of China Unicom Guangzhou Branch ("China Unicom Guangzhou"), visited Guangzhou Zhiguang Electric Co., Ltd. ("Zhiguang Electric"). The delegation was warmly received by Cao Chengfeng, Vice President of Zhiguang Electric, Yu Dianyun, General Manager of Guangdong Zhiguang Integrated Energy Co., Ltd., along with other company representatives.
The two sides held in-depth discussions on key topics including digital infrastructure, the integration of energy storage and the Internet of Things (IoT), and explored new pathways for advancing the convergence of digital technologies and energy industries.
During the visit, the China Unicom Guangzhou delegation toured Zhiguang's intelligent energy storage production line, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Company's energy storage R&D capabilities and large-scale intelligent manufacturing process. The delegation highly recognized Zhiguang's core strengths in independently mastering the entire energy storage industrial chain.
The delegation also visited Zhiguang's corporate exhibition hall and Independent Energy Storage Operation Center, where they learned about the Company's comprehensive energy service portfolio spanning the entire value chain. Through a live demonstration of the intelligent dispatch platform, they witnessed the successful implementation of digital operation and maintenance, as well as coordinated multi-energy dispatching for grid-side independent energy storage projects.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on emerging trends in the energy and digital industries, focusing on computing infrastructure for data centers, the integration of energy storage with IoT technologies, and digital-energy convergence in industrial parks. The discussions resulted in a broad consensus on future cooperation.
Leveraging its strengths in computing networks, 5G private networks, IoT platforms, and digital software services, China Unicom Guangzhou possesses extensive expertise in digitalization and information technology. Zhiguang Electric, with its long-standing presence in the power and energy sector, offers strong capabilities in energy storage equipment R&D and manufacturing, as well as power distribution and electrical safety solutions. By combining their complementary strengths in software and hardware, the two companies will collaborate on resource sharing, joint business development, and integrated solutions for intelligent industrial manufacturing, jointly building a highly efficient digital-energy integrated service ecosystem.
China Unicom Guangzhou also expressed strong recognition of Zhiguang Electric's Solid-State Transformer (SST) technology and its integrated "Source-Grid-Load-Storage" solutions for data centers. The two parties agreed to launch a pilot collaboration leveraging China Unicom Guangzhou's proprietary data center resources in Huangpu District, with an initial focus on project alignment and the application of Zhiguang's energy storage products.
Looking ahead, both parties will further integrate their technological expertise, platform resources, and industrial strengths to jointly develop demonstration projects featuring the integration of digital networks and comprehensive energy storage solutions. Through this partnership, they aim to accelerate the digital and green transformation of regional industries while creating new benchmarks for digital-energy convergence.
